Des Moines, Iowa – May 10, 2010 – Officials with Great Ape Trust have announced that Suku Radia has joined the board of directors of the Des Moines-based scientific research center committed to the study of ape language and culture as well as the conservation of apes in the wild,
Radia is president and CEO of Bankers Trust in Des Moines. He is a former president of the Des Moines Rotary Club and past chair of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. In 2009, Radio served as chair of the United Way Campaign for Central Iowa.
"Great Ape Trust is honored by Suku’s addition to our board," said Ted Townsend, Great Ape Trust founder and chairman of the board of directors. "His business experience, financial acumen, and personal relationships will further solidify this institution for the long term."
Radia joins a Great Ape Trust board of directors that includes Margo Blumenthal, West Des Moines; Lynda Chase, Des Moines; Ted Townsend, Urbandale and Connie Wimer, Des Moines.
