 | Nyota's Dental Procedure
Veterinary dentist Dr. Pierre Tung, assisted by the Trust's vets, performed a dental procedure on Nyota October 29. The 10-year-old bonobo fractured a portion of his upper jaw while roughhousing with another ape. Dr. Tung describes the injury and the care provided by the veterinary team.

Following the Floods of '08, the bonobo yard at Great Ape Trust was restored in September. The bonobos enjoy the opportunity to venture into the yard to play, explore, groom and search for food placed in the yard by caretakers.
