Language Comprehension: Elikya understands the concept of the keyboard and the lexigrams, though she does not demonstrate the level of comprehension as Kanzi, Panbanisha and Nyota. She is eager to participate in match-to-sample and other research trials.

Favorite Activities: Elikya is an important member of the Great Ape Trust bonobo colony. She likes to be at the center of things, and is known to cause trouble to gain attention.

Favorite Game: Manipulating Maisha and Nyota to get what she wants.

What makes Elikya unique?

She has a great smile and seizes every opportunity to show it off. Just as human teenagers can be, she is moody at times, but also very social and enjoys getting people to interact with her.
